LightConex™ Optical VPX Interconnects

Amphenol Aerospace LightConex™ Optical VPX Interconnects are a space-efficient, cable-eliminating solution that integrates a 40Gbps optical transceiver into the module connector. The low 6.5mm profile module connector is offered as a 4-channel transceiver, a 12-channel transmitter, or a 12-channel receiver. An LGA connector mounts the connector module to the board. These module connectors operate in a -40° to +85°C temperature range at 10Gbps per lane with ultra-low 10- to 15-bit error rates. This series also includes a low-profile backplane connector that acts as a drop-in replacement for the standard Vita66.4 connector. The backplane connector is designed with springs to absorb external force while maintaining a consistent MT to MT connection. Amphenol Aerospace LightConex Optical VPX Interconnects are also ideal for phased array radars and single processing computers.
