Analog Devices Inc. ADPD1080 & ADPD1081 Photometric AFEs
Analog Devices Inc. ADPD1080 and ADPD1081 Photometric AFEs feature an integrated 14-bit analog-to-digital (ADC) and a 20-bit burst accumulator which works with flexible LED drivers. The AFEs are designed to stimulate a LED and measure the optical return signal. These AFEs provide a flexible 0.122Hz to 2700Hz sampling frequency range. The 20-bit burst accumulator delivers 20 bits per sample period.
The onboard sample-to-sample accumulator enables up to 27 bits per data read. The data output and functional configuration occur over a 1.8V I²C interface on the ADPD105 and ADPD108 or SPI on the ADPD106 and ADPD107. The control circuitry includes flexible LED signaling and synchronous detection. Analog Devices ADPD1080 and ADPD1081 AFEs offer exceptional rejection of signal offset and corruption thanks to the modulated interference commonly caused by ambient light.
