Analog Devices Inc. ADuM3223/ADuM4223 Isolated Half-Bridge Drivers

Analog Devices ADuM3223/ADuM4223 Precision Isolated Half-Bridge Gate Drivers are designed to improve the performance and meet the safety requirements of applications such as switching power supplies, solar-power inverters, and motor-control systems. Using the Analog Devices ADuM3223/ADuM4223 Precision Isolated Half-Bridge Gate Drivers gives designers reliable control over the switching characteristics of IGBT/MOSFET configurations in a wide range of positive or negative switching voltages.

The ADuM3223 Gate Driver offers 3kVrms of isolation in a narrow-body SOIC package, while the ADuM4223 Gate Driver offers 5kVrms of reinforced isolation in a wide-body SOIC package. The devices operate using a 3.3V to 5.5V input supply and have a 4A peak output current. The 3.3V to 5.5V input voltage supply range allows the devices to be compatible with lower voltage systems. The ADuM3223/ADuM4223 Isolated Half-Bridge Gate Drivers also offer a less than 55ns propagation delay and less than 5ns delay, making the devices up to four times faster than devices based on optocoupler technologies.
