Texas Instruments PCM4220/PCM4222 Audio ADCs

Texas Instruments PCM4220/PCM4222 Audio Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) are high-performance, two-channel ADCs specifically designed for professional audio applications. Both series provide outstanding dynamic performance. The PCM4220 123dB SNR ADCs provide 24-bit linear PCM output data with support for output word length reduction to 20-, 18-, or 16-bits. The PCM4220 devices include three sampling modes and support output sampling rates from 8kHz to 216kHz. The PCM4222 123dB SNR ADCs support 24-bit linear PCM, 1-bit Direct Stream Digital (DSD), and 6-bit modulator data outputs. PCM4222's multi-bit modulator output adds versatility, allowing customers to design their digital decimation filter and processing hardware. The on-chip, linear phase decimation filtering engine on the PCM4222 supports Classic and Low Group Delay filter responses, allowing optimization for either studio or live sound applications. The design of the Texas Instruments PCM4220/PCM4222 Audio ADCs makes these devices ideal for digital audio recording and processing.
