Texas Instruments TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 Digital Temperature Sensors

Texas Instruments TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 Digital Temperature Sensors have a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that can operate at a 1.8V supply and is register and pin compatible with the industry-standard TMP75 and LM75. This device is available in VSSOP-8 and SOIC-8 packages; no external components are required to sense the temperature. The TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 is capable of reading temperatures with a resolution of 0.0625°C with an operating temperature range of –55°C to +125°C for the TMP75B and the TMP75B-Q1 is tri-temperature (–40°C, 25°C, and 125°C) tested in production for improved robustness.

The TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 features a two-wire interface and SMBus compatibility, and there can be up to eight devices on the same bus with the SMBus overtemperature alert function. The ALERT pin and programmable temperature limits allow the sensor to operate as an overtemperature alarm or a stand-alone thermostat for power throttling or system shutdown. The noise-immune digital interface and factory-calibrated temperature accuracy make the TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 the preferred solution for temperature compensation of other sensors and electronic components. The TMP75B/TMP75B-Q1 is ideal for thermal management and protection of various automotive, consumer, computer, communication, industrial, and environmental applications. The Texas Instruments TMP75B-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
