Spectra Symbol HotPot Potentiometers

Spectra Symbol HotPot Potentiometers are linear position sensors for high temperatures and environments. These sensors feature high lifecycle, high-temperature capability, 3M Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA), and are made from fiberglass substrate. The HotPot potentiometers deliver 10kΩ standard resistance, 5kΩ to 100kΩ custom resistance range, -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range, and >10 million lifecycles. These potentiometers are ideal for industrial, military, and automotive applications.

    • No hysteresis, but with any wiper looseness, some hysteresis will occur
  • 1Watt maximum @ 25°C, ≤0.5Watt recommended power rating (depending on size, varies with length and temperature)
  • Resolution:
    • Analog output is theoretically infinite; affected by variation of contact wiper surface area
  • Upon request:
    • Male or female Nicomatic connectors
    • Wiper of 1Newton to 3Newton force to actuate part
    • Contactless options available
  • No affect @ 95% RH, 24hrs 60°C humidity

  • Linearity (independent):
    • ±1% and 3% linear
    • ±3% and 5% rotary
  • No affect @ 500VAC for 1 minute dielectric value
